Latvian Maritime Academy
Latvian Maritime Academy enrolled the first students as part of the Kaliningrad Institute of Fishing Industries on 1 October 1989 therefore this year is considered the foundation year of LMA. On 25 July 1990, LMA became one of the faculties of Riga Technical University. It was in January 1993 when Latvian Maritime Academy became a fully independent educational establishment.
