    Faculty of health manpower training for overseas countries

  • trains future doctors for countries of Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America.
  • at present, about 800 overseas students from Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Yemen, Nepal, Egypt, Pakistan, Germany, Marocco, Iran, Sri-Lanka, Sudan study at the faculty.

    The University has all necessary facilities for training overseas students: fundamental clinical bases equipped with the best samples of overseas and domestic medical engineering, academic staff has scientific degrees, who underwent training in the best clinics of Europe, North America, Japan; modern medical technologies of diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation of the patients.

    The training process meets high international standards and provides the combination of deep theoretical knowledge with fundamental practical training. Specialization promotes the quality of training of future MD's and allows to focus teaching efforts on specific features of clinical courses of diseases, diagnostics and treatment of the patients. The region-specific climatic, ethnic, economic and other factors affecting the human are taken into consideration.

    Upon gradation (6 academic years, preliminary year excluded) the graduates are qualified as general practitioners and are awarded the title of the Doctors of Medicine.

    It testifies of excellence of training and prestigiousness of the Diploma of our University.

    Belarusian State Medical University announces the admission of students-foreign citizens to the Medical Faculty for Foreign Students in specialties "General Medicine" and "Stomatology".

    The term of studies in speciality "General Medicine" is 6 years, in "Stomatology" - 5 years. Foreign students with secondary education and speaking Russian and English are admitted to the 1 -st year irrespective of their race and nationality, sex, language and religion.

    A foreign citizen entering the Belarusian State Medical University should submit to the Selection Committee (the Dean's office of the Medical Faculty for Foreign Students) the following papers:

    1. Application form addressed to the Rector (personally or through a representative of the firm).
    2. Certificate of complete secondary education (an original or a legally verified copy) and a list of grades for the secondary school.
    3. Passport and birth certificate (an original or a legally verified copy).
    4. Medical certificate issued by a national medical state establishment according to the place of residence which states the ability to study at a medical university in the geographical conditions of Belarus.
    5. Entry visa and papers giving permission to stay on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
    6. 6 (six) photographs, 3x4 cm.

    The rules and order transferring foreign citizens from other higher educational establishments to the Medical Faculty of the Belarusian State Medical University.

    Only foreign citizens studying at state higher medical institutions can be transferred to the Medical Faculty of the Belarusian State Medical University.

    An obligatory condition of the transfer is the correspondence of curriculum (according to academic hours, passed credit tests and examinations) of the Higher educational institution where the foreign citizen studied and that of the Belarusian State Medical University.

    The transfer is accomplished before the beginning of the academic year (before September 01) or before the beginning of the 2-nd term of the current academic year.

    To accomplish the transfer it is necessary to submit the following papers:

    1. Entry visa to the Republic of Belarus
    2. An application addressed to the Rector, where the name of the higher educational institution from where the student is being transferred, the cause of the transfer and the supposed year of studies;
    3. A standard academic certificate which is sent by the Dean of the Medical Faculty for expertise to the university from where the student is being transferred;
    4. Secondary education certificate corresponding to the secondary education in the Republic of

    Belarus and a list grades for the course of secondary school (original);

    Foreign citizen admitted to study should:

    1. Submit the certificate of complete secondary education to the Dean's office.
    2. Undergo a medical check-up at Minsk polyclinic N33.
    3. Pay tuition fee for the 1" year according to the Contract.
    4. Pay the cost of accommodation at the hostel to the university cash office.

    A foreign citizen who fulfilled these requirements is enlisted in the 1" year of the Belarusian State Medical University by a Rector's and companies order.

    NOTES: Foreign citizens from far foreign countries (Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America) may be transferred to the Belarusian State Medical University. Restoration of foreign citizens at the Belarusian State Medical University from other medical universities of the Republic of Belarus and other republics of CIS is accomplished according to the present rules.

    To the Preparatory Department of the Belarusian State Medical University

    Belarusian State Medical University announces the admission of students to the Preparatory department of the Medical Faculty for Foreign Students.

    Term of studies is 1 year.

    Foreign citizens having secondary education are admitted to the Preparatory Department irrespective of their race and nationality, sex, language and religion.

    A foreign citizen entering the Preparatory Department of the Belarusian State Medical University should submit the following papers to the Dean's office of the Medical Faculty for Foreign Students:

    1. Application form addressed to the Rector (personally or through a representative of the firm).
    2. Certificate of complete secondary education (an original or a legally verified copy) and a list of grades for the secondary school.

    The rules of foreign citizens admission to the Preparatory Department of the Medical Faculty for Foreign Students at the Belarusian State Medical University are compiled to the "The Regulations of Education of Foreign Citizens in the Republic of Belarus" (The Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus N 442 of July 7, 1993) and approved by the Ministry of Education and Science and Health Ministry of the Republic of Belarus.
