The departments of surgical diseases perform training of highly qualified doctors in the field of modern surgical gastroenterology, minimal invasive surgery (laparoscopic and intraluminal, including treatment of the early forms of malignant neoplasms).

The department extends high standards of primary education in general surgery for future doctors in General Medicine, surgical hepatology and pediatric surgery.

The department trains surgeons of general practice and teaches fast-invasive surgery of kidneys and ureters, gallbladder and biliary tracts; large intestine surgery; implementation of new technologies of treatment of chronic renal deficiency of peritoneal haemodialysis. The graduates on specialization "Ophthalmology" are ensured with high qualification both in modern methods of diagnostic of eye diseases, application of laser therapy for vitriosurgery, recent techniques of surgical invasions at glaucoma, cataract and other diseases. Students are skilled in the latest achievements of purulent surgery, surgical assistance in circumstances of military conflicts and urgent situations, implementing of high-yield technologies of reanimation and anaesthesia.

The department trains orthopedists and traumatologists and teaches modern technologies on endoprosthesis replacement, osteoplasty at treatment of fractures, and high standards of the fundamentals of cardiovascular surgery.

The departments of internal diseases train therapeutists in the field of clinical cardiology skilled in main methods of diagnostic and treatment of ischemic heart disease, chronic heart failure, arrhythmic essential hypertension, atherosclerosis, and others; in the field of clinical pulmonology with recent methods of diagnostic and protocols of treatment of pneumonia, bronchial asthma and rare diseases of arterial vessels. Therapeutists acquire high level knowledge in clinical gastroenterology, modern technologies of diagnostics and treatment of diseases of gastrointestinal tract, connective tissue and blood. Highly qualified infectionists are skilled in modern methods of diagnostics, treatment and prevention of infectious diseases, AIDS, tropical illnesses.

The department of pediatric diseases maintains a high level of training of pediatrists in the field of neonatology, allergology, pediatric hematology, neurology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, possessing modern methods of diagnostic and treatment of child-age diseases and their prevention. They are taught WHO's principles of effective organization of recuperation and rehabilitation of children with chronic diseases.

The department of obstetrics and gynecology trains obstetricians and gynecologists, possessing modern methods of prevention, diagnostics and treatment of gynecological diseases, modern methods of obstetric operations.
