1. Introduction
Certification within a professional body or statutory organization is testimonial evidence that an individual has achieved through the acquiring of specialist knowledge, in a specified field, a mature status and responsibility. The level of certification obtained, combined with statutory requirements, if any, and the acceptance of professional responsibility, code of conduct and a set of rules, indicate that the registrant is competent in his/her field. As such the registrant understands that through certification the controlling body monitors, regulates and protects the profession. Through certification in a specified discipline, industry and commerce understand that as such the occupation is protected, recognized and regulated. It indicates that the registrant is competent in his/her field and that the moral and sound ethical principles expected will be observed at all times. It further protects the registrant, industry, commerce, employers and the public through norms, rules and ethical standards, which the professional is expected to observe according to the conditions.

2. Dtms Registration and Certification
Certification and Registration will be available to qualifying corporate members of the Design Technology and Management Society International. Only Corporate members in good standing will be considered.
For the purpose of interpretation, a registered or certified person shall be referred to as "Professional" which includes the following sub-divisions:
- Technological, Scientific, Design: LEVEL - Professional or Registrant
- Engineering field of endevor: LEVEL - Professional or Registrant
- Managerial, Administrative: LEVEL - Professional or Registrant
